Campground Host(s)
Yellowhead RV Park & Campground is looking for a couple or an individual who will join our dynamic team for the summer of 2024.
We provide accommodation that includes bedroom, bathroom, sitting area (TV) and kitchen. The campground offers service sites and tent sites with a central wash area and laundry facilities.
The position of Campground Host(s) requires someone who is friendly, outgoing, a self-motivator, organized, likes working outdoors and meeting new people. The Campground Host is not only responsible for keeping the campground orderly and clean for our guests, but they are an ambassador, salesperson and representative of the campground.
The Campground Host is quite often the first staff-member our guests meet!
The successful candidate should be a hard worker, possess a pleasant, calm, and friendly manner; display initiative; exhibit innovation, creativity, and flexibility; and have a winning attitude. The Campground Host must have the ability to handle situations with campers in a calm, respectful approach, while enforcing the campground rules and following current protocols that may be in place. This position suits those who are physically fit, have good communication skills and a helpful attitude.
The position requires the ability to answer the phones, read and write English, take reservations, handle cash and credit card transactions through a POS system, and ordering supplies. Cleaning duties include bathrooms, laundry facilities, sites, office. There will be some lawn mowing, whipper snipping and minor repairs.
Remuneration for the position is a monthly management fee, accommodation is provided free of charge.
The candidate will be required to stay on site.
The position is from May through to September.
